Yes, it could be him! Is there a way to find out if he passed before 1910? I have asked the Norwegian Consulat in New York, but not for the surname Petersen. Thank you again for helping me, as you see, I am lost here! |

Here are Andrew Peterson -that exact spelling- from the deaths in New York database at the Italian Genealogical Group website from 1902 & up. They are numerous and there is absolutely no certainty he is here because of name spelling variabilities, or no record being made, or his not dying in New York but elsewhere. (I'll come back in an edit with web address to the search engine & instructions): Last Name Given Name Age Date Year CertNbr Town/County Peterson Andrew 43 y Apr 24 1903 7303 Kings Peterson Andrew 57 y Jul 27 1905 3294 Bronx Peterson Andrew O 6 d May 18 1908 522 Richmond Peterson Andrew 23 y Apr 25 1908 8507 Kings Peterson Andrew 51 y Aug 16 1910 16841 Kings Peterson Andrew 71 y Aug 25 1911 16654 Kings Peterson Andrew F 3 m Aug 18 1902 24533 Manhattan Peterson Andrew M 55 y Jul 16 1906 23126 Manhattan Peterson Andrew G 62 y Dec 25 1913 23672 Kings Peterson Andrew 54 y Dec 12 1913 35968 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 86 y May 1 1915 672 Richmond Peterson Andrew 37 y Mar 8 1916 457 Richmond Peterson Andrew 77 y Aug 23 1916 17592 Kings Peterson Andrew 54 y Dec 4 1916 34057 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 56 y Sep 17 1918 26363 Manhattan Peterson Andrew I 18 y Aug 8 1918 23207 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 7 y Apr 10 1919 2120 Queens Peterson Andrew 57 y Dec 14 1919 32664 Manhattan Peterson Andrew P 62 y Jun 29 1919 20439 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 48 y Feb 25 1920 8717 Manhattan Peterson Andrew P 60 y Feb 22 1922 4721 Kings Peterson Andrew 53 y Jul 2 1923 18142 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 58 y Apr 16 1924 711 Richmond Peterson Andrew 77 y Jan 24 1925 2611 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 52 y May 22 1925 14283 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 63 y May 31 1925 14861 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 50 y Jan 19 1926 1971 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 68 y Mar 29 1927 6759 Kings Peterson Andrew 47 y Feb 27 1928 4580 Kings Peterson Andrew 80 y Sep 21 1928 1730 Richmond Peterson Andrew 72 y Jan 13 1928 1707 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 74 y Oct 11 1932 19935 Kings Peterson Andrew 74 y Jun 30 1935 14268 Kings Peterson Andrew 70 y Jan 23 1930 2227 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 52 y Jan 12 1931 1493 Manhattan Peterson Andrew 85 y Oct 28 1940 2057 Richmond Peterson Andrew 81 y Mar 3 1945 2001 Queens Peterson Andrew 72 y Mar 11 1947 2401 Queens Peterson Andrew 77 y Nov 25 1948 11822 Bronx
This is the opening page at the bottom it says once you have done a successful search that a printable form can be done with instructions to order from the authority. You have to click on and do a search to get the page:

Wow, what a job you do for me! I have been searching Anders (Adrews) swedish background now, and found out that his father wrote his name somtimes Peter, sometimes Petter. I still think that the Andrew Pettersen who passed in 1910 is the best one , so far. Is Anders middle name of any help? Nicolaus, Nicolas, Niclas, N.? Thank you again, I am not good at searching abroad and need help, as you see:-) Bodil |
