I have been unable to find the parents of Renake (aka Jorgine) Hanson. Hanson is her married name. Not sure what her maiden name is. She married Knut Hanson around 1865 and was born about 1833 in Norway, possibly Feb or May. It appears she and her husband immigrated in 1865 as well. Knut was born 17 May 1834 in Norway. Knut and Renake had four children (Hans, Anna, Laura and Clara) that I am aware of, all born in Jackson County, Wisconsin. Laura Hanson is my Great Grandmother.

Here is a link to Renoke / Rachel / Ronnaug probable listing in 1900 census:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMVS-PF

Your actual family in 1880:

https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MN4G-FRW

Renoke or Renake would be a very unusual first name in Norway. Jorgine or Jørgine is much more common. Renoke appears to be the transcribed version of the name in 1910 but it would probably be better to see the actual image and determine what you think it is.

This Knud seems to have been married in 1861

Knud Hansen in the Norway, Select Marriages, 1660-1926
Name: Knud Hansen
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 11 apr 1861
Marriage Place: Sor Fron,Opland,Norway
Spouse: Ronnoug Pedersdr

The brides name bears some resemblance to the name you have for his wife.

Also see number 2 in 1861.

So.... there is a confusion, Terry, as to who you're looking for.

The name Renake seems to come from the Black River Falls family (see 1910 census) which is likely the wrong family (not yours).

On Ancestry.com, a family tree with creator "Terry Hanson" lists BOTH the Black River Falls Knut Hanson and the Northfield Knut Hanson. Both census records are listed as the residence for "your" Knut in 1900. But these are two different families.

I think it's the Northfield family who interests you - if this is your tree - as the tree includes photographs of Laura Mathilde Hanson born 03 Apr 1875 in Northfield Jackson County, Wisconsin. Tree says she married Edvin Johnson (1863-1930) and had children Mamie Juliet Johnson 1899-1984, Cora 1901, Lydia 1903, Arthur 1905, Lydia 1909 and Irvin 1913-1992.

Wisconsin Marriages Index (Ancestry.com)
Name: Edwin Johnson
Spouse: Laura Mathilde Hanson
Marriage Date: 30 May 1898
County: Jackson
State: WI

Tree says Laura died 29 March 1958 in Osseo, Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Her mother's name is Gina or perhaps Jørgine (as Jackie suggested), as "Gina" is often a nickname for Jørgine.

Seems to be a disconect between the Knud and Ronnaug leaving in 1865 with two children born in Norway and the family in Jackson County Wisconsin with only chldren born in Wisconsin. Also the birth year of 1843 for Gina sp? does not correlate well with the Ronnaug who married Knut in Norway and was born around 1835.

A disconnect, yes. I think it's two separate families, and Knut born 1837 is the right Knut for the OP (with wife Jørgine). I haven't looked at the situation closely enough to tell, but maybe the couple found in Norway, emigrating together, is the other Knut and wife.

In 1905 the couple we want is in Osseo, where Laura lived.

1905 Wisconsin State Census
Osseo, Trempealeau, Wisconsin
Knut Hanson 76 born about 1829 Norway day laborer
Gena Hanson 62 born about 1843 Norway

Original, above, does clearly say age 76.

1910 U.S. Census
Northfield, Jackson, Wisconsin
Mrs Albert M Hagen 29 b abt 1881 Wisconsin
Mildred Hagen 5
Albert Hagen 2
Cornell Hagen 2
Mrs Kruste Hanson 66, mother, widowed, born about 1844 Norway, to USA 1870

Original handwriting says Mrs Knute Hanson

Wisconsin Marriages (Wisconsin Historical Society website)
Hagan, Albert
Date: 1903-4-18
County: Jackson

Hanson, Clara K
Date: 1903-4-18
County: Jackson

Yes there are two different families which have been conflated. In the 1880 census (Albion Jackson county, Wisconsin) of the Sør Fron couple lists these children:
Martha age 18 b Norway
Peter age 16 b Norway
Charles age 12 b. Wisc
Clara age 6 "
Rosa age 2 "

So in 1900 census we have

Knut Hanson listed born March 1837 * to USA 1868 * married 29 years [1871]
Gina Hanson listed born May 1843 * to USA 1869 * married 29 years [1871]

So Jørgine should be single when leaving Norway (or it's possible she could be in an earlier marriage)

And Find-a-Grave offers a full date of birth for Jørgine.
Laura's death record should or may tell her mother's maiden name; ditto for the other children of Jørgine.
