This looks like the family leaving Norway for Quebec in 1871. See number 62. Two additional children.

This is probably the baptism record for son Ole, born in 1866. I read it as the June 2, but I see that the Find-A-Grave gives it as June 25.

See number 68.

Well I did find several Family Trees on Ancestry.com and one of them led me to this 1880 US Census. I confess that I may have never have found this one with the name listed as such. But I think strange spelling and all that this is the family early on in Iowa. Maybe one of the children was born in Iowa.

Warneis T. Toris in the 1880 United States Federal Census
Name: Warneis T. Toris
Age: 47
Birth Year: abt 1833
Birthplace: Norway
Home in 1880: Berlin, Clinton, Iowa
Race: White
Gender: Male
Relation to Head of House: Self (Head)
Marital Status: Married
Spouse's Name: Ose Toris
Father's Birthplace: Norway
Mother's Birthplace: Nor
Neighbors: View others on page
Occupation: Farmer
Household Members:
Name Age
Warneis T. Toris 47
Ose Toris 49
Soloman Toris 18
Oley Toris 14
Tarias Toris 11
Hattey Toris 8

Looks like the girl born in Iowa did not marry and died in 1889.

Hattie Warenes in the Iowa, Select Deaths and Burials, 1850-1990
Name: Hattie Warenes
Gender: Female
Marital Status: Single
Age: 27
Birth Date: 1872
Birth Place: Iowa
Death Date: 18 Sep 1899
Death Place: Griggs Twp., Ida Co.
Burial Place: Griggs Twp.
FHL Film Number: 1035288

And in Find-A-Grave
Name: Hattie M. Warenas
Birth Date: 9 May 1872
Death Date: 18 Sep 1899
Cemetery: Norwegian Cemetery
Burial or Cremation Place: Holstein, Ida County, Iowa, USA
Has Bio?: Y

Sometime you get lucky and it all falls in place. Sometimes you work your butt off and you get nothing. I am sure you have not yet forgotten Betsy Johnson of Iowa and Louis Lawson of England.
