I have two familymembers emigrating from Norway to America.
I have found both of them in passengerlists from Norway to England, but they changed ship in England, and I donīt know how to find them...
1)
Jacob (Jakob) Jensen Herregaarden
Left Norway with S/S Volo, May 5th 1905. Wilson Line.
Arrived Hull in England, May 7th 1905.
He could have taken a ship from Liverpool about May 8th 1905??
2)
Kristian (Christian) Jensen Herregaarden
Left Norway with S/S Tasso (II), Sept 17th 1910. WIlson Line.
I guess he arrived Grimsby in England about Sept 19th 1910.
I donīt know how he got to US from there?
Does anyone have any information?

Did you try Stephen P Morse website for searching passenger lists?

Another useful site, you probably know, is Ancestry.com. Try searching with wildcard * to allow for various possible misspellings (maybe you know that).
This website includes, in some cases, a list of ships departing England with schedules that would correspond with ships departing Norway.
Try searching Ellis Island or other website with the name of another passenger (as found from the posted departure links). If you find the fellow traveller's arrival, you may find your guys as well, perhaps with spelling errors or abbreviations or whatnot that stymied your search.

Here is a candidate for your Kristian Jensen leaving England. It would help a grat deal if you had posted the birth year or age of either of the two people you are seeking. That would allow me to separate out the various people with the same name.

| You also need to thank Hopkins and JaneC. Their postings of the links to the Emigranter lists allowed me to find their birth year and/or age and thus narrow the search to only a few good candidates.That sped the search up and made it quite simple. Something to remember for future posts. |
