Okay, a different approach. There are about 20 young men with a first name containing Jo, born abt 1885 outside of Østfold, living in various parishes in Østfold in 1900.

So here is Hans Johan Sollie b.13 June 1885 Aalesund #66, a very long shot Brun connection--one of the faddernes' last name is Brun:

many thanks for that, is it possible to find the address on a modern map, have tried google maps but not yet found, but am very tired from flying back home from work so may need a look through fresh eyes tomorrow, cheers

Spigerfabrik is a nail factory; today spelled Spikerfabrikk

and Fabrikarbeider means factory worker
