Need information on how to title the Norway Towns, area, . Such as

Haugan in Oystre, Slidre, Oppland Norway.

Adal, Buskerud Norway. Do you use County, District, Territory.

These are small villages or towns, named "Tettsted" or "Bygd" Countrysides,
Ådal, means River valley, is a small village.

Haugen (means the Heap) is most likely a farm in Øystre Slidre municipality

In 1900 there were 97 persons living on 19 farms named Haugen in Øystre Slidre.

What are you trying to "title" these in?

I usually list things in ascending order of size - such as Vestern (farm name), Lunner (parish), Jevnaker, Oppland, Norway. Since I'm familiar with the location I'm referring to I actually don't have to include those clarifications that I've put in parentheses here.
On a family history chart I have limited space so I might leave out the first two details - but keep them for my detailed research notes.

In Genealogy we use:
"Sokn" or "Sogn" Sub parish
"Prestegjeld" Parish.
"Kommune" Municipality
"Fylke" County.

Also District is used on a larger area that includes several parish`s as Valdres in Oppland County that includes 6 municipalities where Øystre Slidre is one of them.
