Although that particular indexer for FamilySearch.org listed those two records as being in Vestre Toten - they were actually in the combined Toten church records and subsequent records for Poul, Agnette (who died just a few days after birth), Guline and Marta appear in Østre Toten.

Toten split about 1825.

What records and years have you already searched?

Candidate for Anne Andersdatter is daughter of Anders Olsen and Elen Hansdatter living on Homb, see 1801 census.

Candidate for Ole Christiansen is son of Christian Thomassen and Marte Olsdatter, see 1801 census.

Marriage record for Ole Christiansen, Billerud and Anne Andersdatter, Homb, March 7 1806, see right page.

In the baptismal record for Poul they were living at Hoemb (Homb or Hom).

Ole Christiansen, Gaaserud and Anne Andersdatters son Anders was baptized Aug 10 1806, see 2nd record from bottom, left page.
Faddere from Homb and Billerud.

The first Anders must have died since an Anders was baptized Aug 4 1811, see 7th record on left page.

Thans for the information Hopkins. I did find that the birth records for Toten extend into 1828. I did find some overlap in that time frame in Toten and Østre Toten in some of the records.

And thanks to you Einar. you have given me enough information on this family to try and find out more using the Toten bygdebok.

Anders Olsen, Homb and Eli (Elen) Hansdatter, Rønnerud were married April 21 1775, see 1st record on right page.
Witnesses were Ole Ellingsen, Homb (Anders father?) and
Hans Mortensen, Rønnerud (Elens father?)

Thanks Einar, It never ceases to amaze me that you can read some of these records. The one for Anders Olsen is for me particularly difficult. I wonder if you would mind writing out in full the two lines you have pointed out for Anders. I can see that it starts out as Døbt Ole WORD WORD bn Anders fad. WORD WORD WORD WORD WORD Jacob WORD WORD WORD WORD WORD. It might help me in the furture if I could see what these words are. Thanks again.

Not easy to read even with a cheat sheet. It is really helpful to have the farm names when searching a bygdebok, so I thank you for that.

The marriage record for Anders Olsen Homb and Eli Andersdatter was much easier to read, thank goodness. However I did have an issue using the link you provided. Although the good information you provided did enable me to get to the right page quickly. I think this is the right page.

Sorry that the hyperlink to Anders and Elens marriage was wrong. You found the correct page and I have now corrected my link.

Thank you very much Einar for the records, they are much appreciated. Interesting in how the H is written in the Hom and Holmstad records for the marriage of Ole and Marte.

And by the way.

God Jul og Godt Nytt år til deg.
