In the following record I am pretty sure that one heading is for cause of death. In the following record could some one tell me what Karen Annette died from.
She is # 7

Source information: Buskerud county, Fiskum, Parish register (official) nr. 2 (1878-1890), Death and burial records 1879, page 101.

Thank you very much. I wondered what had happened as she was only 11 years old.

It could also be Gastritis. Not sure what the difference between Gastritis an Peritonitis is... The word in column #9 is "mavebetendelse", which directly translates to "stomach inflammation". I think it should be peritoneal inflammation.

gastritis relates to the lining of the stomach where as peritonitis relates to lining of abdominal organs.

Gastritis is painful - but peritonitis is deadly. Family experience with both.

If you are searching for the father, just be aware that there were two Hans-Jørgen Olsen Muggerud in each neighboring municipality.
Both born 1849. Both had a daughter born 1879. One of them married 1875 in Eiker and the other 1872 in Sandsvær.

I believe the Hans Jørgen Olsen Muggerud from Hedenstad, Buskerud was married to Grete Aundsdatter Paterud. He was born in 1831.

From 1954-57 I lived next to Påterud

It was Hans-Jørgen Olsen Bø b. 1849, known as Hans-Jørgen Olsen Muggerud, or maybe he was mixed with the other two. There are Muggerud farms in both Eiker and Sandsvær.
