The 1801 census for Stangvik (there spelled as Stangvig) shows the child and her two parents living on the Stenberg farm. That census lists at least approximate ages for the two parents and therefore would greatly ease the search for birth records for each.
http://gda.arkivverket.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&sidenr=1&filnamn=f18011564&gardpostnr=14&sokefelt=skjul

The child appeared as born in wedlock so the marriage would be at some point BEFORE her birth in 1797.

The LDS Family History Library catalog only lists church records for Stangvik as available back until about 1784. Records you seek MIGHT not exist.

Anders Andersen Løfaldli's parents were Anders Mikkelsen Løfaldli (1726-1801) & Ildrid Einarsdatter Storløkken (1728-1802).
Anders Mikkelsen Løfaldli took over the farm in 1767, from his father Mikkel Anderson Snoen. Mikkel Anderson Snoen (1702-) was from Meldal, and had bought the Løfaldli farm in 1743. Mikkel was married to Marit Madsdotter Snoen (1699-)
Anders Andersen, born 1768, married 1795 in Stangvik to Margrete Jonsdotter Stenberg.
Their daughter Margrete (1797-) was married 1814 to Sivert Sivertson Glærum in Surnadal.
You say Margrethe is wife of Nels Jacobsen Stenberg 1796-1870 ?

jwiborg......

"You say Margrethe is wife of Nels Jacobsen Stenberg 1796-1870 ?"

Yes, Kåre is right. Nels (my 4th Great GF) was Margrethe's second Husband. Thanks for the beautiful picture of the farm . Wish I was there!!!!

Kåre
Thank you for the date of Christening, the Wedding info and most importantly,
Anders' name on that marriage record. I had found this before but could not see his name until you described it. Great eye

lyndal40
Thanks for that record..I had not posted it in the original post because I was not sure of the Grooms Name.... I see his name clearly now that I know where to look

Hopkins
I thank you for your input and all you do....Your posts several months ago started me on the way to locate almost 200 of my families records since I learned that I could find them without knowing a lot of the language. I'm learning more Norwegian words every time I search!!!!

You guys never disappoint

You are so very welcome. I'm so glad that my 'teaching' tendencies have been of help to you. Now Digitalarkivet is about to change how we do things and I have to relearn before I can help again. I'm hoping they will have good instruction available in English.

The new edition of scanned church books seems ok, not even cumbersome at first, and one can easily change from Norwegian to English. At first choose county and parish and enter search link
Then find out in what periode you want to search and enter Content

There are some icons and symbols which are not explained and I still haven't found any good instructions in English. Your brief explanation just above stopped me from making it more difficult getting started than it needed to be though - so thanks for that.
I'm a person who actually reads and studies the instructions - for everything! I'll keep waiting for them and just practice with finding things I already have exact dates, names and places for. Maybe I can figure out a few more things with experimentation and start to create my own 'instructions'.

I am hunting for a 1910 Census Image record.

I have seen images of 1910 Census in Google Images but when I click on the picture it takes me to http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/ and only shows the translation

The location of that census page is in the city of Stavanger -
http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1910&knr=1103&kenr=032&bnr=0084&lnr=01

I don't find an online location for the scanned image of the 1910 Norwegian census pages, only databases.
