Erik Knudsen can be found in the 1801 Census along with his wife, some of his children and his in-laws. I have having some difficlutly finding out who are his parents and other ancestors. Any help would be appreciated.

http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01058273001960

Maybe him in the Confirmation list, number 6 left page. I would like to know the name of the farm attached to his name.

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630345

Probably his marriage , fourth from the top

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630332

Maybe engagement. Last entry

Bygdeboker available for that area to consider consulting -
“Sigdal og Eggedal”, 1 vol by Thormod Skatvedt; same series continued 4 volumes by Andres Mĝrch.

For several years there was also a person who was encouraging posters on some message boards/forums to join a group dedicated to descendants of emigrants from Sigdal. I do not have that contact information but it should still be available in their archives.

Schenemoen is todays Skinnemoen.
A family-tree link

Seems impossible to open, better to navigate in this and the Oiseth family

The farm in the confirmation record is spelled Ejdalt so probably Eidal.

Thans Jackie. So when I search for Eidal in the 1801 Census, I turn up this family with father named Knud. The ages of Knud Jonsen and wife Marj Gundersdatter are such that they could be the parents of Erik Knudsen.

http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01058273001932

One of the children Gunder found here in Holmen column, last entry

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630169

Knud and Marj were married in 1772 four years after birth of Eirk so maybe a little off. Their first child Marta that I could find was born in July 10 1774. in Sigdal.

Name: Knud Jonsen
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 20 jul 1772
Marriage Place: Sigdal,Buskerud,Norway
Spouse: Mari Gundersdr
FHL Film Number: 124188

Here is the baptism record for the first born of Erik Knudsen. Knud born 1789. See the middle of the page right hand column. Several of the witnesses have te famr name of Skinnemoen or Eidal attached to them. However one of them is named Knud Chirsitansen (farm name unreadable by me) but it is not Schenemoen or Ejdalt

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630238

Another son Joen second entry far left column

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630372

Farm name might be Blegeberg?

Next child Ingeborg he is on to Skinnemoen, first entry far left

Very dif to read. Knud Christiansen ......myr (....bog)

A Knud Christiansen lived on a sub farm under Sĝndre Viig age 45 in 1801. Could be the local name on the sub farm-

Blegeberg (Blekeberg) is correct.
Off the record, My father served under ensign Blekeberg on Colt machine-gun against the Germans april-mai 1940.

I will take a better look tomorrow, but it seems like Erik Knudsen's origin is unknown (b. ca 1768) but he bought Skinnemoen from his father in law Jon Narvesen in 1797 for 400 RiksDaler. Skinnemoen was Jon Narversen's wife Guri Olsdatter Skinnemoen's inheritance

No info on where Erik Knudsen was born. Sigdalsboka page 651 telles he was born 1768 (info above when he bought Skinnemoen also comes from the same book)
A new edition of Sigdal and Eggedal Bygdebok, volume VI-X are published where mistakes and add. info is from the 1951 edition are supplemented. The 5 new volumes cost ca 2000 Kroner.
Volume X contains 12 000 names and a complete farm register

There is only one Anders listed on Eidal (Ejdalt) in the 1801 Census he is Anders Knudsen age 50 born abt 1751 married to Aase Knudsdatter and with three children.

http://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/en-gb/ft/person/pf01058273001909

Probably his marriage from Ancestry.com

Name: Anders Knudsen
Gender: Male
Marriage Date: 13 aug 1776
Marriage Place: Sigdal,Buskerud,Norway
Spouse: Aase Knudsdr
FHL Film Number: 124188

Maybe the engagement sixth from the bottom third column over, tough to read

https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/kb20070312630146

Probably reads Anders Knudsen Ejdalt and Aase Knudsdatter B? , witnessed by Jon Knudsen Blekeberg and Ole ?

Well the same three farm names keep popping up

Eidal (Ejdalt), Blegeberg and Skinnemoen

And maybe the baptism of Anders, Intersting name for the father

Name: Anders Knudsen
Gender: Male
Baptism Date: 19 jul 1750
Baptism Place: , Sigdal, Buskerud, Norway
Father: Knud Biornson Eidahl
FHL Film Number: 124188

Perhaps Erich Knudsen comes from the other side of the family. Aase Kudsdatter age 56 in 1801 born abt 1746.

This is likely her from Ancestry.com data base

Name: Aase Knudsen (Knudsdatter)
Gender: Female
Baptism Date: 2 jul 1746
Baptism Place: , Sigdal, Buskerud, Norway
Father: Knud Kittilson
FHL Film Number: 124188

However from the list of children born of Knud Kittilson with likely birth years there are again none named Knud.or Erich
