I refer to an entry in the parish register for the Johanneskirken in Bergen, recording the death on 25 Sep 1935 and burial on 2 Oct 1935 of Karl Martin Bragstad. This is in scanned image #168. I would like help in deciphering the dodsaarsag/cause of death entry...and also the note that appears to identify his occupation.

Thanks very much. Cause of death surprising and disturbing. I met this man's widow years ago, and more recently his grandchildren - my cousins. No mention of anything unusual in his death.

No other notes than "suffocation" in the churchbook. Thus; being 49 y.o., I believe his death could have been caused by an accident at the foundry. In case of a suicide by hanging, I think it would have read Strangulatis Suicidum.
