I am trying to trace the ancestry of Severin Cecil Johnson/Johanson. B-1869 and D-1934 (in Kalgoorlie Australia) He married a Louisa Vivian in Broken Hill Australia.Hi ancestry is related to danish or Norwegian royals because my mother, Gladys Davey (nee Johnson) received a $40AUD inheritance from the royal family.

You might want to delete the two extra topics you posted on this same person.

Obituary from The Trove via Elephind.com Western Argus (Kalgoorlie) Tuesday, 18 Dec 1934, pg 15 col1 ( Family Notices)

JOHNSON.--At . the Government
Hospital Kalgoorlie, on Decem
ber 11,.1934, Severin Johnson, of
42 Robert street Kalgoorlie (late
of Brown Hill), loving husband
of Louisa, and fond father of Mr.
and Mrs. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. C.
Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Vickers,
Mr. and Mrs. A. Johnson, Mr. and
Mrs. Terry, Mr.. and .Mrs. Ren-
frey, Mr. and Mrs. Christie, Mr.
and Mrs. Adamson, and Thelma
(deceased). Interred privately,

Have you got Severin's death certificate, marriage records and birth records for each of his children?

Cecil is not a common name in Norway, what is the source for that name and the detail that he was born in Norway?

Well for what its worth a Family Tree on Ancestry has this person. No sources in the tree for any of the many Norwegian family it has listed.

Severin Johnson
1868–1934
BIRTH 30/09/1868 • Egersund, Rogaland, Norway
DEATH 11/12/1934 • East Coolgardie, Western Australi

This is likely the family in the 1865 Census.

http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=1116&kenr=001&bnr=0013&lnr=000

The year is wrong in the Tree as this is likely the person they are referring to.

Severin Johansen
in the Norway, Select Baptisms, 1634-1927
Name: Severin Johansen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 20 sep 1869
Baptism Date: 31 okt 1869 (31 Oct 1869)
Baptism Place: Egersund,Rogaland,Norway
Father: John Eriksen
Mother: Anne Pernille Petersdr
FHL Film Number: 126108

Baptism in Digitalarkivet See number 124

A Geni.com tree for Anne Pernille Pedersdatter, No husband or children listed.

Well this pops up so the Tree may not be as far fetched as I first assumed.

Severin Johnson
in the Victoria, Australia, Index to Naturalisation Certificates, 1851-1928
Name: Severin Johnson
Age: 21
Birth Year: abt 1869
Certificate Date: 30 Jun 1890
Naturalisation Place: Victoria, Australia
Native Place: Egersund, Norway

The original document lists his Occupation as Seaman and Address as Footscray or Foolscray?
Certificate Number: 5069

Probably this place from Wikipedia

Footscray is a suburb (neighbourhood) 5 km west of Melbourne, Australia.

I have not found where Severin ever used the name Cecil, but it seems he did name a son Cecil.

The baptismal entry for Severin has an X or a + by his name, which might mean that he is expired or something else...

Severin b 1869 in Eigersund, Rogalund
Confirmation
https://digitalarkivet.arkivverket.no/gen/vis/279/pk00000000724806

Do you have a cover letter that accompanied the money? Consider investigating who the money came from.

We don't know yet if the Ancestry.com tree is correct, but it might be. The family tree creator has identified a no doubt wonderful - but not royal - Norwegian family as Severin's family. They lived on Midbrød in Eigersund, Rogaland. Usually a family tree creator is a descendant, and if so would be a cousin of yours.

Kalgoorlie cemetery lists him as Severin Johnson (no "Cecil") link

Good work!

No "Cecil" in his name in the tree.. seemingly that may have been a mistake?

The geni.com Severin also has a different estimated birthyear. It would be best for someone to connect the dots in Australia between the Severin in the naturalization record to the Severin who dies in 1934, otherwise there are numerous others in Norway to explore.

I do not have a letter or certificate or receipt for the inheritance. Gladys Davey and siblings were all tall blue eyes and her children also. I have even searched wills etc but not a thing comes up
