It's most likely her as her son Orville ended up in Wisconsin also. In order for this to be the right family Wilhelmina would have to be the 2nd wife of Adolph. Would be great to find an obit for her or her children in which Hulda might be mentioned as half-sister or stepdaughter. Good sleuthing!

This does look like the son of Anton and Wilhelmina Olson. Original record looks like a G middle initial not C. Traveling with Delena and daughter June. Born in Valley City North Dakota which is in Barnes County. Same place that Hulda was born. Spent some time 1919 to 1920 in Winnipeg Canada. Going to uncle E? Anderson Thornbury Ontario. Nearest relative from where he came is mother Mrs. Olson Janvesville Wisconsin.

Orville C Olson
in the Border Crossings: From U.S. to Canada, 1908-1935
Name: Orville C Olson
Age: 31
Estimated birth year: abt 1896
Arrival Port: Sarnia, Ontario
Date of Arrival: 30 May 1927
Birth Location: Vally City ND
Gender: Male
Citizenship: American

The Canadian connection could well be that Delena the wife was born in Canada.

Jackie, as you know, I am trying to identify the parents of my grandmother, Hulda Marie Olson and I too believe that Adolf / Anna / Adolf is Anton Rønne's daughter, Anna Ludvika, her son Adolf and her partner and father of the child, Adolf. This is what I am trying to determine with a measure of certainty, but I am not sure that I can prove this.

The 1900 U.S. Census as of June, 1900, shows Lorenze Rynne (Ronne) as having 9 children with just 3 still living. I believe the 3 living children at that time were Martin Ronne (dod 13 Dec 1916), Henry Ronne (dod 29 Jan 1934) and Kaia Ronne Lee (dod 26 Oct 1900).

Anton Andersen Rønns was Anton Rønne. A daughter Anna Ludvika was conf. in Vikna July 28. 1878. Mother was Lorenze Eriksdatter, see #14

She was born on Ørlandet Sept. 25. 1862, see #109

Yes, on Orville's marriage record in 1922 his residence is given as Hamilton, Ontario. We don't know about Anton Ronne's siblings who might be known as Anderson.

Sorry Kåre, I deleted my post because I found that the wife Delena had been born in Canada so it is possible that the uncle is hers.

If it helps any here is his marriage

Okay, there was an article published in the Janesville Gazette about the retirement of Miss Mae Olson, in May 1966 from Sears. The article says Miss Olson and her mother Mrs. A. M. Olson came from Cooperstown, North Dakota to Janesville. She was transferred from Janesville to Tacoma Washington in 1951. Her mother died in 1952. Her brother Orville is still living at a Lake Gordon home. Her sister and brother-in-law Lester Falter also live in Janesville.

So here is the Washington State Secretary of State Digital archives transcript of Wilhelmina T. Olson's death record:
https://www.digitalarchives.wa.gov/Record/View/6200EB380ACEF364D1CA87B057BC0969

The Janesville Gazette gives these names of her survivors:
Dr. Orville Olson, Whiting Ind.
Francis Olson, Shelton Wash.
Mrs. I.W. Foster , Ridgewood, N.J
Mrs. J.A. Sedguerick, Sugar Hill N.H.
Mae Olson, Shelton
Mrs. Lester Falter, Janesville

Among the details in chronology is that she was named Wilhelmina Thompson b. 26 Sept 1870 in Norway, came to US in 1887 to the Dakotas, was married to Rev. A..M. Olson in 1890. He died many years ago. The family moved to Janesville in 1927.

If that marriage year date is true, then Hulda could not have been a child of this Adolph Olson and a possible 1st wife Anna Antonsdatter as we were searching to determine.

In 1900 Wilhelmine's stats are b Sept 1870, came to US 1887, married for 13 years, mother of 3 and 3 are living, yet there are two children in the household Adolph aged 13 b Norway and Arthur aged 10 b North Dakota who are likely from a 1st relationship of Anton M. Olson.

In 1910 Wilhelmine's stats are b Norway about 1871, came to US in 1892, married 1 time for 19 years married, mother of 7 and 7 are living (but only 6 are listed in the house.) They are living in Cooperstown and she is taking in washing.
1910: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MLGT-H65

In 1920 Wilhelmine's stats are as Mrs. A.M. Olson aged 49, came to US in 1890, no children stats.
1920:https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MC8W-7GK

1930 Wilhelmine's stats are age 59, born Norway, widowed, married 1st time at 24 working as a practical nurse for private family, living with daughter and son-in-law.
1930: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X9SP-ZGS

1940 Wilhelmine's stats aged 69, widowed b Norway
1940:https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K7JP-JS7

The kids didn't know for sure! Here is the marriage abstract in the pre 1925 marriages of North Dakota:

County: Barnes County (N.D.)
Groom: Olsen, Antony M.
Bride: Thompson, Wilhelmine Date: 11/02/1894
Info: __License Nbr: C-35
RedID: 176139

Back in play for Hulda!

Perhaps bad news for the working theory that Anne Olson = Anna Ludovika Antonsdatter Ronne:

Except it says she was born in Strinden and her father is "soldat".

And here is her baptism in Strinden (Bakkelandet) #28:

Have we ever looked for the Ronne voyage records? Mayhaps it might restate the names of those three...
