On the census it lists Birgit's Place of Birth as Aals Prgj. Can you tell me what that stands for?

Aal or Ål Prgj. is Ål prestegjeld a parish or clerical district in the fylke of Buskerud. Prgj. is an abbreviation for Prestegjeld.

Thanks everyone for your help!

On the Ships Record it lists the family this way:

Asle Asleson *Sando each having *Sando after their name What does that mean?

Also it says "Residence Aal*x E: possibly a death in the fam". I am wondering what this means and why this is on the ships record?

Another question
Can anyone find any thing about Christine Knutson's father Even or Eren or Evar Olsen? Christine was born on September 4, 1890 in Nicollet Minnesota, USA.

Sando is a farm name. The farm name is the last of 3 names in the customary Norwegian name. There was research done by whoever put up the list and those would be the "notes"

Here is an Even Olsen in the 1885 Nicollet county Minnesota census:

It might do you well to get to the original baptismal record for Bertine Christine. In the transcribed version I have access to of the Norseland Lutheran church baptisms Christine is assigned a farm name which might be a clue. I looked at it but neglected to write it down but it was something like Hovlgaard.

jkmarler I have studied the farm history of Arnegard and Gurigard you provided. The site asks if you want to translate into English Once I could read them, they all started to make sense and I enjoyed reading them!
I am wondering if these can possibly be found for the Lybek farm?
Thank you.

The site with the farm information that I linked to earlier is only for Aal. Looking back over the topic Andrew came from a different parish, so I doubt he'd be in there.

Thank you

Jkmarler yes it would be. #128522;#128077;
I was thinking how organized Norwegians were with their family history. I guess only some areas were!

Can anyone find this family in a census after the 1865 census?

(I tried to copy and paste the actual family information but I didn’t know how to attach a photo using my ipad. I usually use my laptop.

The 1865 Norwegian census captures what is probably that same young man with parents and siblings (in Fåberg, Oppland, Norway) --
