I am trying to find a little more information on Brede Gudbrandsen of Gran Oppland. Specifically his ancestry.
Here he is with his family in 1865 Norwegian Census.
1865
Likely the birth of his first son but the mother seems to be crossed out.

| Brede Gudbrandsen was born 02 Apr 1816 to Gudbrand Gudbrandsen Rossum and Birthe Erichsdatter. You can find part of his ancestry here. |

Brede Guldbrandsens parents Guldbrand Guldbrandsen and Berthe Erichsdatter were married Dec 17 1812, see next to the last record left page.

Thanks to Einar and Doug for new information. It helps a lot in making the hunt for ancestors easier.
The Family Search Tree seems fairly accurate. Here is Gulbrand Gulbrandsen and his family in the 1801 Census. Just below the family are Gulbrands father Gulbrand Jensen and his mother Kari Christophersdatter.

From the same Family Tree is a Tosten born 1725 father is named Stephen. Probably him in this record from Digitalarkviet.

The page would indicate that he should be found on this page from the original records. I would like to be able to read these records from the 1700's better but it is a struggle. Could someone point out to me where on these two pages the record indicated by Digtalarkviet is placed.

Would it be the last entry on the right hand page. Spending some time looking at the last entry, I would read
item Døbt Stephen Alm barn kalt Tosten fadder Jøen xxx, Tosten xxxx, Gunder xxxx, Kiersti, xxxx, Anne xxxx, Anne xxxx
The last names are difficult to read but I assume they would match those found in the Digitalarkviet search record. Without that record however I would have been unable to find the correct page. |
