A person who fits what little we know of the wife of Martin Hanson is an Ingeborg Nilsdatter Gjærde born Dec 9, 1890 and found in the 1910 Norwegian Census living with family in Hordaland County.

1910

An Ingeborg Helene Nilsen Gjerde born 1890 in Lindaas left Bergen on March 19, 1907 to join her brother.

Link

That matches the year shown in the 1920 Census for emigration for Ingeborg Hansen however it does not account for how she still shows up in the 1910 Norwegian Census.

Probably her arrival in America. Going to her brother in Millbrook Illinois or Iowa?

Ingeborg Nielsen
in the New York, Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
Name: Ingeborg Nielsen
Arrival Date: 4 Apr 1907
Birth Date: abt 1890
Birth Location Other: sletton pr bergen
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Ethnicity/ Nationality: Scandinavian
Port of Departure: Chrsand
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Ship Name: Hellig Olav

Best guess for the brother is Rasmus born in 1885 and who left in 1903 for Ill.

The children of Nils Johan Rasmussen and Helene Kristiansdatter or Kristoffersdatter Gjerde seemed to have travelled between the US and Norway quite frequently.

Here is a Norwegian death record for Rasmus with the correct birth date of Aug 19, 1885. Fits well with the article linked by Jane on Sletta which is described as near Radøy.

Rasmus N Gjerde
in the Web: Norway Burial Index, DIS-Norge, 1700-2010
Name: Rasmus N Gjerde
Gender: male
Death Date: 15 Nov 1950
Burial Date: 23 Nov 1950
Burial Place: Radøy, Hordaland, Norway
Age: 65
Birth Date: 19 Aug 1885

And here is likely Rasmus traveling back to America from Norway in 1923. Going to Evanston Ill.

Rasmus Johan N Gjerde
in the U.S., Border Crossings from Canada to U.S., 1825-1960
Name: Rasmus Johan N Gjerde
Gender: Male
Race/Nationality: Scandinavian
Age: 38
Birth Date: abt 1885
Birth Country: Norway
Arrival Date: 22 Aug 1923
Port of Arrival: Quebec, Canada
Ship Name: Empress Britain
Port of Departure: Southampton, England
Residence Place: Nor
Record Type: Manifests
Line Number: 5

There is more than one Rasmus Gjerde rattling around the northern tier of states so it is a little hard to keep them all straight. Especially prone to confusion is a Rasmus Ramusen Gjerde from Saskatchewan and Montana.

Seemingly the Ancestry tree creator located similar
places to Rognan and Sletta (but without having the
Norwegian records) and filled in the corresponding
(but incorrect) fylke.
