It seems Anton has a good prospect for Ida's parents here, is there a reason to discount this? Also Jan Peter found the grave marker for the parents that shows Signy died 1 yr after this baptism...maybe the reason for Ida(and other children?) to move in with Boyds?

that seems to fit. The grave marker showed Peter Cornelius Nelson(1/20/1830-12/13/1904) and Signe Danielson(8/20/1833-1874). But still no definitive link of Ida to Tena? The adoption papers did imply the same parents(comment that mother was dead and father abandoned them)

The Ida Nelson daughter of Peter C Nelson and Signe Danielsdatter is not the same person as the Ida Nelson found in the 1880 Census living as a servant with Joseph A Boyd and Sarah Boyd. Two different people. One married as twice as shown above and the Ida Nelson from the Boyd family married an Ole Toreson and the couple can be found in the 1910 Census in Essex, Kankakee, Illinois. It is somewhat interesting that Ole Toreson is listed as being from Fjeldbeg parish, Hordaland.

Probably this one

Name: Ole Toresen
Gender: Male
Birth Date: 10 jun 1872
Baptism Date: 16 jun 1872
Baptism Place: , Fjelberg, Hordaland, Norway
Father: Torris Olsen
Mother: Johanna Hansdr
FHL Film Number: 124511

so does this take us back to Nils Mikkelson(Fjeldberg) as the likely father of Tena, Hocke, and Ida?

No. I think Nils Mikkelson (Fjeldberg) is out of the question.

Hucken Nelson is likely born in Illinois. Possibly in Ford county on 15 Jul 1872.
Tena Nelson is likely born in Norway. Possibly in Hordaland county on 10 Oct 1869.

I think we could be looking for a male with lastname Nilsen, who emigrated from Stavanger around 1870-1871, possibly with "Tena" and wife/mother.
It could also be that the parents never married, but if they are the parents to both Tena and Hucken, I doubt that is the case.

Nils Mikkelson (Fjeldberg) did not emigrate, so I doubt he is the father of Hucken.
