As a grumpy stubborn keyboard hacker an Ancestry membership is far away so I've to rely on positive and helpful members to have some answers on the Gulbrandsen exodus to America.
Hans and Josofine/Josephine Wiborg nee Gulbrandsen had about 8 children. Betsy Johanne, Hilda Kristine, Henry Olaf, Fredrikke Lovise, Albert Christian, Hans August, Ole and Karl Johan
Archive records show that Josephine Wiborg repatriated to Illinois in 1903. No information found on husband Hans. In 1903 their oldest daughter Betsy was 33 yrs old and the youngest son Karl Johan 18 but Karl Johans is found repatriated. Maybe reason to doubt that not all of them repatriated.
I'm interested to learn which one of them went to the USA and their demise.
A brother of Josephine, Carl Bernhard Gulbrandsen and his family also went to Illinois where Carl continued the family profession as a wig maker and he also introduced the hair pomade Hairo. They had 3 children, Astrid and Hans Gulbrandsen.
I'm interested to learn the name of the 3rd child and the demise of all 3 children.

Okay, the passenger arrival list of the Hellig Olav arriving in New York on 3 Nov 1903 has Hans Wiborg age 69 a barber going to Chicago to his children living at 231 Grand Avenue. Josephine is below him and then two of the sons: Karl Johan and Ole.
Carl Johan Wiborg dies 25 Feb 1906, single, a machinist, age 20 buried at Mt. Olive cemetery on 1 Mar 1906.
Another possible son is Albert Wiborg who was born 8 Aug 1877 and died in Chicago on 21 July 1944. The death record for Albert gives his father's name as Hans and his mother's name as Petra Pederson, which is kind of a bit weird since his wife's name was also Petra Peterson so perhaps an error of some kind. |

A Carl Gulbransen, born about 1854, his wife Anna (1853) and their children Astrid (1878) and Hans (1880), arrived in New York in 1882 on the ship Hekla. They are registered as danish, but it might be your family. https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:939V-5RSM-CZ?i=967&cc=1849782 |

The 1910 Census confirm that the family Gulbransen in the previous posting is correct. Wigmaker Carl B Gulbransen live with his wife Anna and son Hans and Hans’ wife Christina in Mozart Street, Chicago. Hans profession is «repairman automobil shop». https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MK8M-WZL |

I suspect that this is the baptism record for the daughter named Lilly of Carl Gulbrandsen and wife Anna. The original is hard to read and the mothers name may be in error.
