I am trying to help my father to locate his grand father
Karl Gustav Olsen.
I belive he left Norway from the port of Christiania/Oslo 29 aug 1902
and he wrote that destination was Columbia, South Dakota.
I can't find him arriving in USA.

Can someone please help me

I can't find him arriving at Ellis Island, but he might very well have arrived at another port. When the Digitalarkivet migrant database is updated your great grandfathers record will probably contain the name of the agent he used, and then it will be easier to determine which port he arrived at in the USA. Here is Karl Gustav in the old emigrant database at Digitalarkivet:

You might also want to look for Karl at the US Genweb project. Columbia is situated in Brown county SD, and here is the Brown genweb site:

I found a query for some Olsons near Columbia, but that is of course a long shot:

Did your grandfather remain in the U.S.? Would he have been in the 1910 census?

Now that you have the location (county), you might try to find him in that census.
