Is Kapelsrud a place or a farm.We are coming to Norway in Aug and I want to see where it is. Thank You

It is a farm, name written Kapellsrud today.
If you travel by car it is 36 km and a 40 minutes drive, see map.

Kappelsrud was probably a "Kapell" Chapel for the workers on Hakadal Iron Works before the church was build ca 1605-10.
The origin of the name may have been Ulfsrud, not sure, named after the first settler Ulf.
The ending -rud means to clear the land, Ulf cleared the land.
