Sunday News (Watertown, S.D.) Thursday 5 Oct 1911 page 5, col 6

"Ed. Simon, a former resident of Watertown and a nephew of M.O. Poulson of this city, writes Mr. Poulson from Forest City, Florida, that he is now nicely located on the Lyman Twins ranch in Orange county. Mr. Simon traveled with the Lyman Twins Theatrical Co. for several seasons and held a responsible position. The Lyman twins had so much confidence in his ability to make good that they have given him full charge of their big ranch in Florida. Ed. Simon is a hustler and will make good any place you put him."

This one is really interesting and would explain how Ed. (Ed. = Because he is named in first Census Edmon, then Edmund, then Edward and went back to Edmund) Simon would have came from Minnesota to then Tampa, FL where my Family has lived ever since.

Interesting to notice is his Watertown Card #143

Right behind Mattie Simon Card #142, now confirmed

Question: It states an Age for 47 on this one above (1905) and 64 (1925), that does not quiet add up for me

The very first mention of Edmund's birthplace is in the 1885 Minnesota state census given as "Dakota" which in 1885 meant Dakota Territory which was composed then of North Dakota, South Dakota (and included Montana at an earlier date).

I am not sure. To sum up, we have found four people (at least three of them confirmed siblings by US census or newpaper clippings) in the US; Martin, Anton, Christian Fredrick and Mattie, and we can find baptisms for people with matching names in Ringsaker, all with a mother named Agnete Hansdatter. If we can conclude that at least some of these baptisms (other than the twins) involve the same Agnete, then it would start to get convincing. The problem is that the mother's name is listed with a different farm name on each occasion, and it would take someone with a very good local knowledge to evaluate it all. There is in fact a fifth potential sibling in Ringsaker. The five are listed below, all births were out of wedlock. My own inclination is to buy the evidence, partly because of the shared Presterud-reference:

Martin, born 1844, no. 112, mother Agnete Hansdatter nordre Aanderud in Bergaust, father Ole Poulsen Stensengeie.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070110650202

Hans, born 1846, no. 73, mother Agnete Hansdatter Saddelmagerbakkeneie af Presterud, father Ole Poulsen ibid

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070110650212

Anton, born 1856, no 173, mother Agnete Hansdater Presterudeie, father Karl Frederik Svendsen

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070512980341

Mathia, born 1861, no. 94, mother Agnete Hansdatter Narholoeie, father Fredrik Christensen Herset

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/kb20070119310616

Christian, born 1861, no. 97, mother Agnete Hansdatter Narholoeie, father Fredrik Christensen Herset

Yes, connecting everything, I have this as his birthday, which would match up with what you said

If Peter E Simon got divorced from Mattie Simon 1900 - 1905 and Mattie Simon got married to Martin O Poulson, which die 1915, explains why her 1925 Card says widowed.

Summarizing:
Are we to assume Petter "Peter E Simon" Evensen born on the Farm Marigaardseie in Nordehov, Ringerike, Buskerud County, Norway, Son of Even Olsen and Marte Helgesdatter on 23. September 1849, left Nordehov on the 1st May 1870, traveled to Oslo, which from there he went on the ship S/S Risingstar Departure Christiansand 13 May 1870 and traveled to New York and arrived there 29 May 1870. Moved from New York to Minnesota and then following the history stated in my first entry?

Where does the arrival date of 29, May 1870 come from.

A Peter Evenson arrived 31, May 1870 on the Colorado. Also on that same ship were the two Foss girls Pauline and Bolette. All were identified as German so that part is likely wrong.

Following the Paid Ticket and looking at Ships which left Norway in May 1970 to New York, found a Ship Rising Star departure 13 May 1970 Christiansand, Norway and arriving 29 May 1970 in New York.
Also Peter E Simon as researched is Norwegian and not German.
