I'm looking for my great grandfathers parentage. He is Gabriel Amundsen, born 11 OCT 1874, Hovland, Egersund, Norway. He arrived in the US in 1891 or 1892. I believe his father is Omund Omundsen Johan Hovland (1830–1885)
, Hovland, Egersund, Rogaland, Norway - but would like to know for sure. Any informaiton is very much appreciated. His father could also be Amund Wetso, husband of Mary (Marite) Rasmussen

John ended up in Todd County as well. Using the name Witso or Witsoe and married by 1900 but not born in New York, the original page gives the birth location for both he and his wife as Noway. . Located on the same census page as his father.

1900 Census
