Concerning question on Minnesota ole jensen.
Johnny O is my grandfather. My mother is still alive and she remembers Alexander O or AO. 100%

Many trees have Ole buried in Minneapolis 1908. Once you see the head stone I knew it was wrong especially with the 1880 census.

Someone from the otter tail historical society is helping me find a death certificate or grave for Ole in 1879. No luck so far.

Could he have abandoned his family?
They did later on use the name Johnson.
Big connection to Sonmore family.

On Jonette, Yes, that is the one I found, but could not connect to Liverpool ship.
I was assuming New York.
But the Quebec trip would make sense also.

Just had a thought.
Ole is in hurdals area because of Jonette.
Jonette is in Eidsvold because it is her family home?

In the record from Norway Heritage where she is listed as leaving, she is given the last name Andreasdatter, but in other records she is listed as Andersdatter. Same name.

Jonette Andersd Tærud as a witness.

Link

One problem we are going to have is that the many of the parish records for Eidsvoll were destroyed by fire.

I think you need to come to grips with the fact that the Ole Jensen of Nøterø might not be your Ole Jensen. It might be that the Ole Jensen found by Jackie in Hurdal and the Jonette Andersdatter (Andreasdatter) from Eidsvoll might be your two best candidate. If so it is likely in my opinion that they married in America.

Both Hurdal parish and Eidsvoll parish are in Akershus County and are essentially side by side.

As you are looking at the records in the ELCA at Ancestry you are sometimes allowed to wander into the other pastoral acts from a church. They follow an order similar to Norwegian parish registers, baptisms first, confirmations, then marriages and funerals. You might try to see if Ole's and Jonette's marriage is in there and also if Ole's funeral is in there without using the search engine, but just going page by page.

I've lined out the Jonette from Hurdal's information in my earlier. Lacking expressed information, I was only following the new tack to Hurdal.

Who are the faddernes for the known baptisms?

I think Jackie is right. There was one family tree that put them in that area. And I believe it was also the one that had ole death correct.
Moving forward I guess start new with Jonette and ole parents.

Thanks everyone for unscrambling my mess.
Now I need to go back a clean up my tree.
Looking at the Oder manifest, I see what may be a traveling companion with Jonette.

Wouldn’t be nice if they both made it to Minnesota so they could stay in touch.
A new trail to follow.

Ps what are the odds: could it be?

Iversen was her name on the ship manifest
Maybe marthe was married in Norway? She was 29 when traveling.

I’ve checked NY and Quebec. Just like Jonette, no records.
