On digitalarivet site Tysvær parish and local parish on page 440 right hand side is a mention of a baby girl born 18 Feb. 1946 and died soon after. The parents may not of been married then. They are my great, great grandparents. baby is listed under deceased and buried females (1846). Thank you for any help translating what is written about them. Lorene |

Sorry! It's been awhile since I have requested help. Maybe years! I do hope I can find what was recorded about this first child. Lorene |

It'd be better translated by an actual Norwegian literate person. The child is recorded as a still born and your surmise about the parents is correct, they are not married. |

Hi
1846 18 febru (18th february 1846) Enkmd Lars Inge- (widower Lars Inge- brigtsen Tysvær og pige (brigtsen Tysvær and unmarried girl) Marthe Mikkelsdat. Erland
Angivelsen skeet af (Information given by) Fødselshjelpersken Chri- (midwife Chri-) stine Erland 1846 8 Marts (stine Erland 1846 8 March) Fostret kom meget besvær- (the fetus came very trouble-) ligt til Verden, dog med (some into the world, however) Naturen F 10 Ugemaaned (natural born in the 10th month) Intet dødfødt barn før (No stillborn child before)
In other words: The midwife Christine Erland informed on 8th March 1846 about a stillbirth 18 february 1846, She tells that the dead fetus was born the natural way, but with a lot of difficulties and in the 10th month. The woman in childbirth had not had a stillborn child earlier.
It does not say if the stillborn child was a girl or a boy.

Thank you all for the help. The 3rd living child after this one was my great grandfather. I felt a need to find out about this one. Lorene |
