Likely the family in the 1870 Census. Perhaps Julia is the first child and Juda is the second child. I would think that the one that married John A Wing is the one named Juda in the 1870 Census.

Probably the FAG record for the father Niels Larsen. Birth place matche the baptism for the Guro and Guri above.

At first, I thought it far-fetched that the Wing family could be the right people. But maybe there is something to it. The birthdate for John Askelson Wing is the same as for John Askilsen Vetrhus, and John and Guro married in Illinois. Will have to mull this over... It would be easier if the sources connected John with other members of his family, since that is the family I know about. Will check through all the links provided. |
