...born 1878 in South Arendal - living in Ådal herred, Buskerud fylke in 1900. It has been "told" that he emigrated to North-Dakota in USA. He married Nellie Marie Forthun in 1910, and he died April 1, 1963. Can you "find" Things about him for me?

Kristian Olsen Fremredalen was born 28 Feb 1879 in Sør-Aurdal, Oppland, Norway, one of eight children of Ole Spangerud and Barbro Knutsdatter Sislebekk. He emigrated to the United States circa 1902, where he was known as Christian Dahl. He filed a Homestead Act claim in McKenzie County, North Dakota, and married Nellie Marie Forthun on 17 Oct 1910 in Tobacco Gardens, McKenzie County, North Dakota. He died 01 Apr 1963 in Golden Valley, McKenzie County, North Dakota. |

Nellie Marie Forthun was born 15 Apr 1886 in Traill County, North Dakota, to Ingrid Oline "Lena" Burkum and Christen T. Forthun. She was confirmed 28 Oct 1900 at Hyllestad Lutheran Church in Traill County. Nellie attended Mayville State Teachers College (now Mayville State University) and taught school at Seneschal School, Twin Valley District #5, in McKenzie County, North Dakota. She filed and proved a Homestead Claim in McKenzie County, North Dakota, before marrying a fellow homesteader, Christ Dahl, on 17 Oct 1910 at Tobacco Gardens, McKenzie, North Dakota. Nellie and Christ had 3 children: Olive, Henry, and a stillborn baby daughter. Nellie died a few months after the third childbirth, on 02 Jul 1918, and left behind her husband, six year old daughter, and two year old son |
