Thank you again for all of this information! I am wondering if anyone can find a census record for an Ida Amelia Hauge, born 1863 in Kristiansund, daughter of Anna Pettersdottir (1843-1908) and Iver Larsen Hauge (1831-1889). Was she deceased in Norway, or did she emigrate to the US-interested if there are descendants as well. Thanks for any help you can give me-Inez Bergquist |

For the record this is likely her baptism record.
Ida Amalie in the Norway, Church Records, 1812-1938 Name Ida Amalie Record Type dåp (Baptism) Baptism Date 19. jul 1863 (19 Jul 1863) Baptism Place Møre og Romsdal, Norge (Norway) Baptism Municipality Kristiansund parish Father Iver Larsen Hauge Mother Anna Pedersdtt.

The original record is partially burnt so the date of July 19 for the baptism may not be exactly correct. The actual birth date is unknown.

There is a Ida Amalie born Larsen date 1863-04-23 in Kristiansund and living in Bergen in the 1900 Norwegian Census. Since we do not know the birth date of Idaa Amalie it is a little hard to prove that this is the correct Ida Amalie. She is married to a Johan Olai Olsen.

Here (#134) is Ida Amalie's confirmation record of October 6, 1878, citing a birth date of 23/4 '63. |

Ida Amalie in the 1922 municipal census for Bergen. Note that her husband is a Blikkenslager (tinsmith?) here as well as in the 1920 census. This, as well as the address, matches this declaration of death (#554) from 1925. She was survived by the husband and children Ragnhild, Alfhild, Olaf, Ida and Einar, of which the second and the fifth lived with the parents in 1920 and 1922. |

The son Olaf Johan listed here had the daughter Ruth Alvilda Johanna (1919-1995) who has a Geni profile. There are living descendants. If you want to get in touch, you could try to contact the profile administrator. |

Thank you! This means there is a lot of the Hauge family and they may be in America, who knows? Thanks again! |
