I have minimal information here.

June Darnell was the daughter of Rolf Andreason and Hulda Andreasen. Both born in Norway. June now lives in Anchorage, AK. June was adopted out at 14 years old to Fred and Wanda Vogel - also Norwegians. June is now in her 90s.

That's all I have to go on. Have tried Ancestry, Family Search, Google. Also tried the Norwegian Digital Archive, but the link is broken.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin

Norwegian archives restrict public access to many documents involving people born less than 100 yrars ago.

Did the adoption happen in Norway or the US?

I guess a starting point can be just about anywhere.

There is a tree on Ancestry with

Fred Joel (Sigfred) Vogel (Vagle)
1912–1985
BIRTH 13 APR 1912 • Minnesota
DEATH JUN 1985 • Fairbanks, Fairbanks North Star, Alaska, USA

wife is

Wanda L (Jackie) Fernleaf
1919–2003
BIRTH 9 AUG 1919 • Washington
DEATH 28 FEB 2003 • Fairbanks,Fairbanks North Star,Alaska

No children listed

https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/69255008/person/100015296214/facts

Here in 1940 Census

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:VYWX-R6T

Might this be the couple who adopted.

June is in her 90s now. So 90 from 2021 gives a date of 1931 and 99 from 2021 gives a date of 1922. If that is true then her parents have to be older than the Rolf discussed so far.

June?

Here are some Rolf Andresen listings from the ELCA databases in Ancestry:
Rolf Andreassen Confirmation 1936 Minneapolis, Minnesota

Rolf Andressen Confirmation 31 Jan 1897 Fisher, Minnesota Andres, Helga

Rolf Andresen Baptism 27 Sep 1894 Chicago, Illinois George, Samieline

Rolf Andresen Baptism 29 Dec 1883 Ridgeway, Iowa Caraline, Sudie

Caraline R Andresen Marriage 18 May 1911 San Francisco, California Alexander

Ralph Andreas Sverre Andresen Confirmation 27 May 1917 Brooklyn, New York George, Ingborg

Ralph Louis Andresen Baptism 26 May 1947 Monticello, Iowa Louis Chris, Vera Jane

Ralf Herman Andresen Baptism 10 May 1903 Aberdeen, Washington Chr, Huston Hanna

Erikemand Andres R Andreson Marriage 31 May 1880 Sacred Heart, Minnesota Julia Thuraldsen

I've lined out those least likely based on the type of pastoral service (such as a baptism) which are most likely performed on someone born here and who are aged as such to be too young to be the parent of someone born 1922-1931.

The most promising on this list are the Rolf getting confirmed at Fisher Minnesota in 1897. His birthplace is recorded as Satersdalen, Norway in the record.

Here at least is a person named Rolf Andreasen who actually has an Alaska connection. Wife's name doesn't match and only one kid in the household a boy named Ralph, but:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:CY5K-B46Z

He was on the list of migrants from Norway and here is a link to the family in 1940. Two girls neither identified as June and married names differ in family tree database:

Here is the only Rolf and Hulda combo parents born Norway with a child named June I've encountered. Last name Isackson. This is the 1940 census:
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K9S4-99B

Here they are in the 1930 census:
https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XC31-ZG5

Here they are in a family tree (minus about half of the kids!);
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/pedigree/landscape/GHBJ-DN7

Here is the obit of one of the siblings. Interesting that sister June's last name is Durnell and lives in Washington (2010).
Carl J. 'Ike' Isaksen

Daily News, The (Longview, WA) - Monday, August 30, 2010
Carl Jentoft Isaksen, 88, a longtime Longview resident, passed away Aug. 22, 2010, at a Shelton, Wash., nursing home.

He was born April 14, 1922, in Aknes, Norway, to Hulda Olufine Pettersen and Rolf Magnus Isaksen. He moved to the United States in 1926, where he became a citizen on Jan. 30, 2006.

Ike went to high school in Fife, Wash., where he loved sports, especially football. After high school, he worked in shipyards and drove log trucks and transit buses. He also worked as a commercial fisherman and became a longshoreman in 1949, retiring from that profession in 1984 as a member of ILWU Local 21.

He then moved to Ocean Park with his wife of 34 years, Virginia Helen Isaksen. He loved to travel with Virginia to Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska and other locales, as well as to their timeshare in Florida. His passion was fishing, and Ike owned several boats, in which he would take many friends and family in the ocean.

He also loved clam digging, sports and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Virginia, he is survived by his children, Ronald Isaksen of Tacoma and Sharon Murphy in Nevada; stepsons Paul Miller in Ohio and Dale Anderson of Longview; stepdaughter Charlotte Sandford of Castle Rock; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Eldbjorg Busch in Norway, Ruth Collier and Irene Hook, both of Edgewood, Wash., June Durnell of Bonnie Lake, Wash., Nancy Benham of Elma, Wash., and Helene Wolff of Tacoma; and his brothers, Roy Isaksen of Auburn, Wash., Joseph Isaksen of French Creek, British Columbia, Canada, Roger Isaksen of Graham, Wash., and Don Isaksen of Auburn, Wash.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Steele Chapel at Longview Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pastor Kent Doehne will officiate. A luncheon reception will be held after the service at the ILWU Hall, 627 14th Ave., Longview.

Contributions in Ike's name can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
