So in the 1875 Census, Rasmine is living with the mother of her father. Dorthea Morie Andreasdtr
Here is the father Rasmus Olsen in the 1865 Census living with his parents Ole Johan Olsen and Daarit Andersdatter

Looks quite possible. I suspect that the Olsdatter name comes from the last name of her father Rasmus Olsen. She probably did not have much of a relationship with either of her parents and that may have been the only name she knew, having lived with her grandparents in Norway. |

Oh wow, it seems Anna would be living with her “in-laws” possibly while pregnant with Rasmine at this time, the same year her unborn child’s father passed. |

Yes thank you! I was able to track her through living family and Ancestry once she came to North America.
As Tore asked earlier. Where did you get the birth date. It looks like it was quite accurate?

Yes that seems to be true. I missed that on the first run through. |

I am very lucky that my grandparents have been actively collecting family history for a very long time and are still able to share that with me. The internet has sure changed the game though, and I am so happy to be able to collect more history for our family. |

It looks like Rasmine had a daughter named Dagny Othelie in 1898 (#14). Her residence is given as Hestø (egentlig fra Husvær) -- Hestø (originally from Husvær). In Rasmine's own baptism in 1876, her mother Anne's residence was given as Husvær. Husvær is also the name of the census district where Rasmine was living in 1891. |
