In the wedding record Dorette Maria Andersdatter is listed as being born about 1816 and her father is Anders Pedersen. This is likely her baptism.

| Is Angel a very common name in Norway? It is a bit of a coincidence that Rasmine’s father (Rasmus Kjerstein Angel Ølson 1855-1875) and the father of her first child (Ole Angel Berg Nilsen 1878-1950) share this? |

In Norway in general it is not common, but the situation in Nordland county seems to be (or have been) different. A search for this first name at Digitalarkivet gives a large majority of matches in Nordland, despite its modest fraction of the the Norwegian population. |
