Seeking contact with his family for information. My father (b 1911) was half-sibling to Sverre from a later marriage. I have collected historical data about our grandfather Edvard Johan Winje (1844-1914).

According to a column titled "El Dorado" byline Placerville 9 Feb 1918 published in the San Francisco Chronicle Sunday 10 Feb 1918 page 45, col 6:
"...Sam Winje paid approximately $9000 for a 120 acre farm in Gold Hill, near this city. ...."
