Her name on my dad's birth certificate is listed as Aagot Dagny Sather. she arrived in this country on the Franconia in Boston in 1912 and returned to Norway around 1919. she had and uncle Nils who traveled with her to boston and then he went on to tampa, florida. where can i turn for help in tracing her roots in norway

Hi,
Your "Aagot Sæther" emigrated from Kristiania (Oslo) on 27-MAR-1912 together with Nils Eriksen Sæther. Her birthdate is stated "10-SEP-1892", not 1893. Nils' birthdate is 11-AUG-1852. Aagot's residence says "Ø.Bærum", which means "Bærum East", just a few miles west of Oslo.

Hi again,

looks like Aagot's uncle Nils is born in Sweden.
This looks like it could be him:
http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=f00301.wc2&variabel=0&postnr=171227&fulle=true&spraak=e

And this could be Aagot:

Her father is "Peder Eriks. Sæther", born 1860 in Sweden. Peder could be Nils' brother.
BUT: This Aagot Dagny is born in 1882..., at least it says so in the census. It could be a typing error...
