I am looking for anyone who might be related to the Bakken and or the Kandal families from Norway.

Nils and Ingeborg Bakken are my great grandparents they emigrated from Norway in 1905 area. Nils was born on Dec 25 1878 in Norway Where ?
Ingeborg Svien was born on Nov 26 1876 in Norway where ?

Knute Olsen and Nellie Kandal are also my great granparents they also emigrated from Norway around 1905 both families went to Canada I do not know which ship or which port. Knut was born on Aug 25 1885 in Briem Nordforjd Norway, he was also an ordained minister with the Luthern Churches in Norway, Canada and USA. He married Nellie in Saskatchewan Canada. Nellie Loftus (with or without the "h" is not known LOFTHUS) was born on Sept 28 1892 in Norway where ?. I would love to find out if there are any siblings that exsisted to these people or so on. Other dates might be found on my other posting "Bakken, Kandal families"
Thank you and look forward to hearing from you. Khristiane

I am a descendent of Nellie's mother Margaret Henderson. Margaret was born in Wisconsin and died in Saskatchewan, and therefore I doubt if Nellie was really born in Norway. However, I did see someone else post this same info at the following website:

Let me know if you need more info on Margaret Henderson's ancestry.

There is a great organization, Valdres Samband, which includes the Vang area, they have alot of resources and will do extensive research if you are a member ($10.00 per year).
