I'm looking for any information on Ingeborg Halvorsen and Pere Olsen Pederson. They had a daughter Julia Helene Pederson born in Norway and she married John William Hess in Salt Lake City, Utah. Any information would be very helpful

Jillyn,

I'm helping a cousin research her ancestry and I may have a branch of the family you're looking for, although our dates are much earlier. Please look at http://www.geocities.com/rbradford2000/ to see some documents with Pederson/Persson/Halvorsen names.

They've been translated as:

The first document is an attestation, dated May 31st 1862, from a Parish Minister of some Swedish Parish, stating that one Anders Persson, born Febr. 20ieth 1832
has moved from Magnusberg Parish in Vărmelands County
and migrated to Norway. Signed by P.O. Vigelius, Parish priest

The second Document states that Ingeborg Halvorsdtr., who is
1 1/8 years old and the the daughter of Anders Halvorsen and his wife Anders Halvorsen [sic!!!] , living in tha Parish of Gran, has been vaccinated against smallpox on Sept.18th 1831. Signed by E. Pedersen (vaccinateur) and Lassen (Parish Priest)

The third domument is of the same kind as the third: Karl JOhan Pedersen, who is 1 1/2 years old, and the son of Ingeborg Andersdatter and Anders Pedersen, has been vaccinated against smallpox on Jul. 11th. 1876. Signed by Thor Buchholz, district surgeon

Let me know if this is a match.

Thanks.
