Looking to find out more about relatives
ABRAHAMINE JOHANSEN b. 1860(Johannesen) with 5 children left Oslo
on D/S HEKLA Aug 4. 1904. I know they were going to
Portland, Maine. Her husband Nils Martinius Johannesen was already there, I believe. Chrildrens names was Inga, - I knew her, she lived in Nøtterø, Tønsberg Norway. The other children remained in US. Mikal Anton Johansen b:1890. Johan Adolf Johansen b: 1892. Nora Amalie Johansen b:1895., and Ingeborg Marie Johansen b:1900.
Can anyone help me find out whatever happened to them?

In 1914 the Ellis Island records show Abrahamine returning from Norway. She lived at 39 Arcadia St Portland Maine at that time.
The 1915 Portland city directory lists a Niels M Johnson as a blacksmith at 71 Arcadia so could be your Nils and would indicate they used the name Johnson in the US. This is the link to the directory site.

You can try searching the Social Security Death Index
http://ssdi.genealogy.rootsweb.com/
You also might try posting your request on the Digitalarkivet Debat forum.(The link is below) Someone there may be able to lookup census information.
