Could anyone help me with the name Gulbransen,i live in new zealand and have found out my great grand father came here from norway back around the late 1800"s or early 1900"s.Im starting a family tree and have been told that the name Gulbransen is rather common in Norway.Hope to hear back from anybody. thank you,ninakarls for your info,im having a bit of trouble understandind the symbols,i notice all the Gulbransens are spelt with a d ,Gulbrandsens,is this common in Norway i wonder,does f,or m stand for female or male ?,the letter u i cant work out ,and the numbers at the end ?, thank you for your time Regards Bryan Gulbransen |

This is probably not helpful, but there is a baby Amanda B Gulbranson (August 31, 1891 to September 27, 1891) buried in the South Lutheran Cemetery in Northwood, North Dakota. No information about who the parents were, and her parents are not buried there. Maybe the parents are in the 1880 census. |
