That's the online newspaper game these days, but you have to be fleet and study the findings you do have if you can't afford to buy a subscription.

As to FAG if a person is buried without a headstone, the FAG volunteers might not find anything to report. Her full death certificate might contain information of her burial location or how her body was disposed of.

The other thing is the wording about an autopsy "not for .... " I wouldn't be surprized if Jorine's body was donated to science....

There are actually two listings of an Alethe with a death date of 19 Dec 1936, both in Bergen.

https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/433/pc00000004233988

However, I think I missed the correct interpretation that since Lena's husband Sivert died 19 Dec 1936, she is saying her sister Alith died about a month before Sivert. So possibly this one:

I found your topics at the Forum at the Digitalarkivet. I'll make a suggestion. Post your request there for Louis' obit and the other newspaper articles you want. I think a number of the usual posters there subscribe and might be willing to post for you.

The Letter says "gre_t Tore". So writer must or does know that Thor is still living. He should be in the 1940 census somewhere if he is in US.

Found something off on the information I was giving regarding Thore, He wasn't born when I thought he was because his Father would have been 3 yrs old. So he was born before Jorine and she was born in 1867. One source says 1865.

In Cecile's obit was mentioned an Astrid Landsness as a survivor. Here she is:
"New York, U.S. District and Circuit Court Naturalization Records, 1824-1991", , FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:8ZKF-RCN2 : Fri Jul 12 17:58:04 UTC 2024), Entry for Astrid Thora Nilsen, Lund or Landsness and Sam, 1926.

She was a granddaughter of Cecile.
