I am trying to find a ship my grandmother might have taken to go to the USA..Her passport was issued November 14, 1898 in Oulu, Finland and was only good for a month. Finland says she did not take any of the Finnish Steamship Co ships and so they thought she might have left from Norway or Sweden. Her name is Brita Kaisa Reinikka, born in Finland on August 8, 1877. I can not find where she came into the US, so I think she may have come to Canada and then to Michigan. Any help would be great.
Thank you Patti Graves

One possibility on Ellis Island (allowing for spelling errors) Rita K Reiniko arrived Dec 2 1898 destination Cousin J Harmo, Hancock Mich. (my interpretation of the writing) on the Campania from Liverpool. You can search from this site using the above spelling to get to the original record http://www.jewishgen.org/databases/EIDB/ellis.html
