I am looking for any information on Anne Bjorglfsdatter Oen who is listed in the emigrants from Telemark registry as leaving in 1854. She was 30 years old and emigrated to Wisconsin.
I am interested in knowing the actual departure date and ship.
Thank you~
Kirsten

Anne Bjørgulfsdtr Øen was from Fyresdal area of Telemark.
1854 may be too early to be able find any departure record, have you looked for arrival records?.

I can't answere your original question, but I guess you'd like to have the following information, anyway...:

According to the book Bendik Veum: "Fyresdal I Ættebok" (1943) she was the 7th child of Bjørgulv Kristianson and Johanne Christiane Larsdatter Ebbesen ( married 1811), born 1823 and left for America in 1854.

Her mother came from Denmark with (as servant of??) reverend Fredrik Lund to Fyresdal in 1805.

Her father (1780-was the oldest son of Kristian Bjørgulvson, Kvipt (dead 1806 - 79 years) and Såve Drengsdatter, Jordal (dead 1790 - 34 years).

Såve's parents was Dreng Bjugson, Jordal (dead 1788 - 71 years) and Anne Andersdotter (dead 1800 - 83 years). They both came from Mo parish in Telemark.

Kristian was born 1727 as 6th child of Bjørgulv Gunsteinson, Kvipt (1665-1741) and 2nd wife Kristi Grundesdotter, Storelid from Bygland. She diead 1774 - 68 years).

Bjørgulvs parents was Gunstein Bjørgulvson, Kvipt (dead 1700) and Liv Bjørgulvsdotter.

Gunstein was a son of Bjørgulv Torgeirson, Jordal who again was assumed to be a son of Torgeir Bjørgulvson, Jordal (but this isn't proved).

Torgeir was a son Bjørgulv Torbjørnson, Brokke. Now the book begins to be unreliable, but this Bjørgulv was according to it a son Torbjørn Torjusson/Torgeirson/Torgilson, Brokke and Helga Bjørgulvsdotter, Væting.

Torbjørn could be a son of Torgils Olavson, Nape

son of Olav Torgilsson, Nape (mentioned 1450)

son of Torgils Torbjørnson, Geitestad (mentioned 1446)

son of Torbjørn, Geitestad, living around 1400...

But, as I said, the book isn't quite reliable, so please take this ending as a probable line, NOT as anything proven. Documents that far back are few and doesn't tell much about relationships...

But it's a good story...

Thanks. No, I have no idea where to start with that! That seems a monumental task without knowing at least a rough departure date. :-)

Would you know if that book has Tore Saavisen born 1706 Svalestog-Fyresdal married to Asbjor Aanundsdatter born 1707 Bekkerhus-Fyresdal. His father was Saavi Toresen but I am at a dead end on this family and have no idea where to go.
Thanks,
