Hi
I need help with my ggrandparents who left Sweden and traveled to Norway to board the ship line Stjerne and the name of ship is the SS Salmo On May 29th 1907 in route to Duluth,Minnesota. U.S.A. The SS Salmo probably went to Hull U.K.
I cant find a passenger list.
Names are
Jonas Johansson
wife Emma
Daughter Astrid
I'm not having much luck with the Ellis Island site.
But I'm very new at all this
If anyone can help with answers much thanks to anyone[

The first thing I did was check this website for the ship Salmo and find out what listings were available for it sailing in the year 1907. All listings here put it sailing out of the port of Trondheim (then usually other stops along the western Norwegian coast) before it arrived at Hull.
So then I checked the Digitalarkivet website's database of emigrants from the port of Trondheim in 1907. Quite a few Swedish men named Jonas were entered there. Here are the entries for your Jonas Johanson, wife Emma and daughter Astrid.

Hi,
there is no additional information regarding each person in the list of emigrants. All info about Jonas Johanson is listed on line 132082.

His wife Emma is listed on the line below (132083), and their daughter on line 132084.

You can not obtain any extra information by pressing the numbers on the leftmost link...

This is the information you can obtain from the Emigrant protocols from Norway:
Year, page, line, linenumber, new group, traveldate, firstname, lastname, marital status, family pos., occupation, sex, born, residence, destination, travel agency, ship, ticket, purpose, travel permit, notes.

År, Side, Linje, L.nr., Ny gruppe, Reisedato, Førenamn, Etternamn, Siv. status, Fam. still., Fag, Kjønn, Fødd dato, Bustad, Reisemål, Linje, Skip, Billett, Føremål, Reisetillatelse, Merknad

Stjerne, I believe, is Norwegian for star. Recommend you search this site, it gives the 1907 routes for the SS Salmo and also the White Star Line. It states the White Star line operated from England to New York. Renting the New York passenger lists for this specific time period may yield results. The ship Adriatic looks like a good possibility.
