Hi Tint,
Thank you.
You're right. I have gone on the internet looking under Swedish archives and have found it more difficult than the Norwegian site considering the language barrier too. Whenever you get the time, I'll watch for your reply.

Do you ever have trouble getting onto this site (Norway Heritage)? I have frequently.

Thanks, Kathy

Tint, thank you again.

I got on tonight with no trouble. I am now going to try and search those troublesome Swedish records again. You never know, I may just get lucky. Stay in touch.

Kathy

Hi Kathy, the books I’ve been reading didn’t give any information about any custom officer Malmberg and I made some phone calls, still waiting for replay on two of them. Most of the people I’ve been talking with have been so young and almost no interest in the “old days”

Hi Anita,

Thanks for checking. I don't know if I will ever find out about Malmbergs but I am in touch with Rosenbergs in Norway. If you hear anymore, please let me know.

Hi, if you can help I would appreciate any information ....
Further research suggests that Lauritz Rosenberg was a border patrol officer in Norway / Sweeden. Do you have any information on him. I hear from some family members that he was "a somebody" in his day and quite a character. Information was to be sent to me but was to be translated in English which never arrived.
Lauritz was the brother of Eilert Rosenberg. Eilert immigrated to the U.S. but Lauritz stayed in Norway. Thank you for your help.

Hi!
If anyone interested!
My grandfather Knut Fischer b1896 was cousin with Bernhardine Konstanse Rosenberg b1857.
Knuts grandmother Christina Malmberg b1796 and Bernhardines grandfather Carl Petter Malmberg b1798 were siblings from Alingsås in Sweden.
Regards Tony Fischer
