My grandmother Inga Olsen married my grandfather Jacob Kirchner in Hoboken 1906. Inga died in the Insane Hospital in Secaucus NJ at the age of 34. The year was 1918. She had 3 children Melbourne Evelyn And Jack. My grandfather remarried and I have never known any Olsen in my life. What happened to the family after Inga died? Did'nt they care about the children ? Evelyn was my Mom but I would love to solve this mystery.

In the 1910 census Inga M "Kirchmer" is 24 years old, she immigrated in 1892 or 94, hard to read the last number. To find out anything more you are going to have try and find out who her parents were. Do you have copies of the death certificate, marriage license, childrens birth certificates? Information on these could help.
It is possible that there were no other Olsen's alive or that contact was lost after the death of the mother.
