I have information where my gr/grandfather, Edvart Torrison/Edward Torison arrived in New York from Liverpool on the Geramic on July 10, 1886. Can anyone document this for me? Thanks

Yes, he arrived on the British Steamer Germanic to New York Harbor on July 12, 1886. Passenger #92 of 609. From Liverpool via Queenstown, from Christiania, Norway. Departure date from Liverpool not indicated. You can rent this passenger list microfilm from a local Family History Center.

There is information on this site about the Germanic and also pictures of Hull and the port of Liverpool.

He was listed as age 38, laborer.
