Was there a shipping line or a ship called THE NORWEGIAN MAIL in the late 1800s? My grandfather Martin JOHANSEN is said to have come from Norway before 1900 working on a ship of this name. Unfortunately I don't know the year, but he was born in 1874 in Norway and married in Washington state in 1900. He was killed in a logging accident in 1914 so we don't know much about his family or where he came from in Norway, but family lore says Stevanger.
