The areas you've mentioned were all in Hordaland, Norway at that time. 'Eten' should be spelled as Etne; 'Olen' as 喢en (at that time part of Fjelberg parish). You are likely to find Etne information also with Sk幩evik parish. I can't be sure if what you've listed as 'Stodle' might have been the St鷲le (St鷣le) sub-parish of Etne.

This appears to be your "Bard Erickson Vagen 1802-1880" in the 1865 Norwegian census -
http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=1213&kenr=010&bnr=0021&lnr=00

"Tor Torjornsson" and wife "Asjerd Jacobsdtr" in the 1801 Norwegian census -
http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/cgi-win/webcens.exe?slag=visbase&filnamn=f11211&gardpostnr=82&sokefelt=skjul

Most of your people appear to have left before the 1865 Norwegian census - probably sailed from port of Bergen. The Fjelberg parish 'Utflytte' records will probably record the date that they left the parish - but cannot list the ship name or exact date of sailing.

Did your "Hatland" family settle in the Story Co. area of Iowa?

Some of my own family left these same Hordaland districts one year later, sailed from Bergen and I was lucky enough to find some of them in the early passport registers and ship's lists for that at the Digitalarkivet website.
