Have you seen the information on this site about the Titanic listing Johannes? He is listed as going to Hillsboro, ND

http://www.norwayheritage.com/ships/tita-pas.htm

Hillsboro, Norman are in Traill County.

In 1910 Johannes is listed in Norway Township, Trail County as John H. Nysveen, 58, widowed, immigrated 1885 with Elias, 26, and Arnt, 24, Henry, 18 born North Dakota.

On the free www.rootsweb.com database, you will find some of them listed in the Social Security Death Index and 60 entries for Nysveen with Henry, Elias, etc. You can try to contact the poster, surely she must be a relative.

I have a relative who lived for a time on a Nysveen farm in Biri in Snertingdal. Don't know if this helps you, but Biri is either in or just right next door to Oppland.

If thing is right and the Names on the Titanic site is right? it state that Johannes is from Øyer.
And the only Johannes with a father named Hans born in Øyer is this one. In 1850, 51 and 52

I also found a Norwegian Titanic site

http://www.varsi.net/titanic/norpass.shtml

And from here also the date and year is the same

Nysveen, Johannes

* Født 17. september 1851 i Øyer.

I do not have any explanations on the name or the connection to Nysveen

Not 100% sure, but this could be the birth of Johannes
