Looking for the voyages taken by the family. Siver, born Sept 1813 in Norway, married in Varmland, emigrated alone from Drammen to Quebec in 1866, on ship Ekarius under Capt Blekfeldt (names uncertain). Already know voyage of wife Karin and three children in 1867. Children were all born in farm Husketorp or Hjerpeliden in Varmland. Daughter Anna, born May 7, 1842, emigrated from Norway with husband named Olson and daughter Serenna approx 2 years old. Anna was pregnant and gave birth on the voyage to a son, Otto. Anna's sister Martia, born 7/7/1838, emigrated with daughter Mathea Pederson around 1873. Another sister Kajsa, born 6/20/1846, emigrated around 1862. Is there a way to identify Anna's ship by the birth of her son on board?

Your posting is a little confusing. You give alot of information but your question is, I believe:

Is there a way to identify Anna's ship by the birth of her son on board?

Daughter Anna, born May 7, 1842, emigrated from Norway with husband named Olson and daughter Serenna approx 2 years old. Anna was pregnant and gave birth on the voyage to a son, Otto.

MY questions are, when did Anna and her husband emigrate and from what port?

Have you found them in the police protcols on Digitalarkivet, if so, can you provide a link?

They emigrated in summer 1873, because Otto was born during the voyage and celebrated a July 4 birthday. Both Otto and Anna listed 1873 in the census as their immigration year. We don't know the ports, and the Digitalarkivet does not seem to have yet digitized the needed records. The family had left west Varmland Sweden and emigrated to Aasnes, just across the border.

What census are you talking about? Were they Swedish? Varmland in in Sweden, this website is about Norwegian emigration.

Born on the voyage, is that just family lore?

If they left from Norway, there is plenty of available information on Digitalarkivet for 1873, it just takes some searching, Aasnes is in Hedmark, the closest port generally would have been Oslo:

I had the same response from Swedish genealogists. Syver Steffenson was born in Norway of Norwegian parents in Hof, Hedmark. We don't yet have the marriage record, but it appears he married Karin Jonsdr in Sweden and that she had been born there. Their seven children were all born in Sweden and then they moved to Norway, to Aasnes. The family insist strongly they are Norwegian and they spoke Norwegian. The Swedish location is Sodra Finnskoga, and their farm abuts the Norwegian border very close to Solor, Syver's birthplace in Hedmark, Norway.

As to Otto's birth on the voyage, it is family lore, and he also stated it for at least three US (Federal) census takings. We would need the ship manifest for better verification. His mother repeatedly stated in the US census that her birth was in Sweden and her immigration to the US occurred in 1873.

For the US census, Syver claims he and his parents were born in Norway, Karin states she and her parents were born in Sweden.

Swedish records say that Anna left Sodra Finnskoga, Varmland in November 1861, and there is no mention of her return. Presumably she married and gave birth in Norway, and lived there almost 12 years. I did find in Digitalarkivet an Anna and Anders Olsen emigrating with two sons from Oslo to the US on July 4, 1873, but they were from Nora Finskoga in Varmland.

As you say, the Digitalarkivet has much data, so we will have to explore that thoroughly before asking for more help. Thank you for the clues so far
