I have not been able to find a family that emigrated from from Vang, Hedmark (to New Zealand) in the "Emigrants from Oslo" lists.
Could they have departed from a different port and, if so, which one(s) would be most likely?
The family members emigrated about 1877. They were: Johannes JOHANSEN (or JOHANNESEN), his wife Sedsel OLSDATTER, and some of their children (Mikkel or Michael, Martin, and Ludvig).
The parents are found in the 1865 census with their older children: http://www.rhd.uit.no/folketellinger/ftliste_e.aspx?ft=1865&knr=0414&kenr=005&bnr=0050&lnr=000 Martin and Ludvig were born after the census - Martin b. 1866, and Ludvig b. about 1870.
Thanks. |
