I found my great granfather on a list for the City of Brooklyn. He arrived in New York on 5 Oct 1869. Yet, on your site it shows that it didn't sail till the early 1870's. Also is it possible that there is only a partial list of passengers, Robert Yarnall's wife two children and brother are not on the list. Where can I get a good picture of this ship?
Please use my email address since I don't get to the board that often.

Thanks.
Judy

It is rather difficult to answer your question if you do not give some information. Names, dates, etc.

The forum is for everyone to see and help so most of us do not reply directly to inquiries.

He could have made more than one trip.

Robert Yarnall was English. Norway Heritage is a site that lists Norwegian passengers and documented voyages related to Norwegians, it is not complete and the information comes from different sources.

This website lists that the ship City of Brooklyn was launched in 1868 and made its maiden voyage to New York in 1869.
