Thank you to Jan Peter for the assistance in searching. I have located Thomas Gulakson in the 1880 census living in Otsego Twp, Columbia County, Wisconsin, which is where he lived until his death.

Spouse is Esther Gulakson. Children are listed, and a Gunlek Gulakson, aged 83, is listed as Grandfather to head of household.

This has pointed me in a good direction. Thanks again!
